HVE is a nutraceutical company with the goal of providing technical solutions for the development and manufacturing of high-end functional food ingredients and nutraceutical products. With our extensive background in pharmaceutical, food and feed production, the valorization of waste streams and extraction technologies HVE intends to play a crucial role in the transition towards more circular, high-end functional nutraceuticals.
Valorization of discarded organic waste streams
Our general working principle relies on the employment of low impact extraction technologies to allow the valorization of low-value side streams from the food industry which are usually considered as waste without any added value to society. Within our development and manufacturing projects we always aim to minimal carbon footprint, sustainable production processes and maximum application of electrification allowing the production of truly sustainable products.
Low impact, green extraction technology
HVE is employing a novel, proprietary extraction technology which allows a fully electrified, low temperature, low impact extraction providing functional nutraceuticals with uncompromised tertiary functionality, lack of denaturation and significant potential health benefits. Generally, HVE is interested in the application of our technology for products in which conventional extraction proves difficult due to temperature sensitivity and strong compartmentalization. HVE aims to employ our technology and expertise in driving the protein transition in the Northern Netherlands and abroad.
